We are the Champions!

So cool! Andrew and Asa's team won the league championship last night! this was a long time coming for our family. For the past 5 or 6 years, one the boys' teams has been in the running for the championship and it has come down to the last game and we have lost. so this was super special for us! Asa had another super game. He has complained all season about playing outfield and no matter what we have said to boost him up, he just has not been happy out there. However, last night, just like the last game, he has caught a super fly ball for an out, making the whole ballpark roar, and also hitting a super ball to the outfield, getting a triple with the bases loaded! Awesome for an 8 year-old playing on a 9 and 10 year old team. So he got the game ball for the third time this season!!!!!!! can you just see the grin on "Smiley's" face? it was pretty big last night. Both boys made all-stars, different teams. so we will be busy the whole month of june. thankfully, asa's tournament will be here. andrew's will be in Walthall County.

we are headed to the beach next week for a much needed R&R.

we are having a super summer so far!

Mother's Day was great for this mother. After church, the boys and Jimmy took me to my very fav place, Mike Anderson's in Baton Rouge. Yummy! then we went to the levee at LSU and looked at how high the river is/was. So peaceful and a beautiful day. Then on to my other fav place--Baskin Robbins!!!! SUPER Yummy! Thanks boys for I am the lucky one!

Luke graduated from Kindergarten!!!!!!!!! wow!!!! isn't he really old enough for that? time is flying by. He was a bit nervous however after it was over with, he said, "that wasnt' as bad as I though it would be." His class was precious playing the hand bells, "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Let There Be Peace on Earth."

Awards' Day!

The boys racked up at Awards' Day. Andrew and Asa both got the same three awards: straight A's, Best Citizen of the Class, and Highest Reading Award. Andrew had 235 points of the required 45!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asa wasn't far behind. Andrew received a check from the school for being the student with the most AR points in reading! woohoo! so proud of my boys. The Best Citizen Award is the one I am most proud of!
