Busy. Field day was a success at our school despite the monsoon that came friday night. the weather was pretty on saturday despite the wet ground. all three of the boys won in some event. then played on the inflatablews, rock wall, etc. we left the school and met up with jimmy and noah at his first ever rodeo. he did well. his horse knew what to do and although he didn't rope the calf he did hit her on the head, the rope just didn't fall. He'll do better the next time, I know. He later told me, "that was the most fun i have ever had." So proud of him and for him.

woke up with a cold yesterday. yuck!

went to my nephew's bday party yesteray.

cleaned out my van this morning. waiting for someone to come drive it. wish me luck. got my eye on a beautiful white suburban in mint condition. it wants me, I just know it!

Noah turns 14

Isn't he handsome? The little baby that we brought home from the hospital 14 years ago today; the one that I held more than 24 hours a day, just because I wanted to; the one that begged for anyone and everyone to "come play in my room"; the one who learned to talked to and with adults at a very young age; yeah, that one is turning 14 today. Again I ask, where does the time go? Just look at him. He is growing into a fine young man. I took tons of pics of him today and he totally obliged and didn't complain one bit. That melts my heart--to know that he knows me that well; to know what is important to me. Happy Birthday, Noah. Mama loves you!

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

my baby was just born yesterday so how is it that today he turns SEVEN??????? Seven . . . that is such a BIG number? Like, why couldn't this be his SECOND birthday? or I could probably even swallow FOURTH? but SEVEN? Like, where did the last SEVEN years go? But there's nothing I can do to turn back time--although if I could have one super power, that just might be the one--so we are just going to enjoy this day celebrating his SEVEN years! and we'll be doing it with cupcakes and pizza tonight at our house.

Strawberries!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute yumminess! One of the perks of living so close to Louisiana -- fresh La. strawberries. We bought two flats and have almost eaten one. Freezing the other for some yummy desserts later.

After two weeks of sickness, we are finally better! Fever and yuckiness that kicked us in the butt.

We are in full swing of baseball practices.

School gets out at noon tomorrow. That is the start of our Spring Break. Luke's 7th birthday is Friday. We'll celebrate with pizza and cupcakes and lots of little boys at our house Friday night.

Saturday morning is work day at the ball field. Which means outside work for the men/boys and bathroom cleaning for the moms. Or should I say this mom? Because I am the only mom who showed up last year. Nikki says she's joining me this year. Yeah! Don't forget the gloves and mask, girl. Utter nastiness! Jimmy is cooking jambalaya to serve to the workers. Then we will all be off to the rodeo in Liberty for Cowboy Noah's first official rodeo. It'll be an all day event with him competing in break-away roping, poles and barrels. Yeehaw!

So as you can see, we are busy being a family and trying to enjoy the madness.

I am hoping for some down time next week while we are on Spring Break.

Sick

It seems that the ABadies have fought off the germs for a long time and we have finally succumb to illness. Andrew got sick Friday night while at a slumber party; Luke got sick Monday night; Asa yesterday and me today. We acutally all have somewhat different symptoms but all feel crummy the same. Our living room has become the sick ward! Hoping tomorrow that atleast some little people can go back to school. and that Jimmy and Noah don't catch any germs.
