coffee

When asking your son to fix your cup of coffee, be sure to remind him to stir it . . . . .silly Asa, put sugar and cream in it and did not stir it! Bleck!!!!

sweet love letter

I found this on another blog. . . . a love letter from someone's grandfather to her grandmother . . . . what a wonderful thing to have that kind of love!

My Love
It seems I am not able to, or cannot express fully by word the Great Love in my heart I feel for you. It runneth over and wants to burst from my body. You have given me four fine children which I love dearly (which at times) they may not think so, but nevertheless is so. I do not see how I can love you any more for that because you have it all now. I know not why I am writing you this except my heart is uring me to do this. It is all a quiver.

Love you My Darling,
Ralph

a funny for your Monday . . . . . .

Never Choke in a Restaurant in the
South!

Two cajuns walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their trapping and fishing business.

Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress.

One of the cajuns looks at her and says, 'Kin ya swallar?'

The woman shakes her head no.

Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?'

The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.

The cajun walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.

The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth.

As she begins to breathe again, the cajun walks slowly back to his table.

His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver
seed nobody do it!'

Fishing and Pumpkins

The boys went fishing and were gone only 30 minutes and they caught a whole string full!

This is what you get when you let a 7-year old carve a pumpkin. He is soooo proud!

Jaymun

Have any of you followed the cancer journey of this child? He died a few days ago.

http://www.jaymun.com/

This child was BORN with cancer. How is that possible? I just don't understand it. As a parent, I can't imagine watching my child suffer such. He was only a toddler and had been sick his whole life. And still the parents had an unshakable faith. Amazing! I can't help but think that I would constantly question God if this were my child. Maybe not. Maybe I would be strong in my faith and trust Him. I hope I never have to find out.

Y and Z

I think I started the "alphabet game" over a year ago--the first five words that come to mind starting with a particular letter. I'm gonna finish it now.

Y

Young - feeling young is in your heart.

Yellow - sometimes a fav color of mine.

Yemen - one of the countries on Andrew's test last week.

York - as in York Peppermint Patties - love them!

Yahtzee - fun, family game.

Z

Zealous - my feeling for life

Zebra - my fav zoo animal

Zany - crazy, cooky . . . love to be this!

Zero - as in "I have zero tolerance for stupid people."

Zucchini - love it sauteed with onions

ok, missy, since you are the only one who played the game with me, let me know your y and z words. I challenge you to do it without looking up words. Hmmmmmmm

Noah's rodeo finals

Noah's rodeo finals were yesterday and today. It was wet and sloppy and nasty and cold and misty but he did very well and possibly placed second in both events. We go back today for the end of the finals. He's hoping he wins a buckle. A check would be nice too! So proud of my cowboy!

Noah and the dance

Me and my sweet son. As much as aggrvates the mess out of all of us here at home, it is nice to know that when he is in public, he is a fun-loving, polite, repectful young man.

Noah and Ashley.

Isn't he handsome? This is Noah right before he headed out to the homecoming dance. I can't seem to wrap my brain around how he is old enough to go. It was tough holding back my tears helping him get dressed and watching him learn to tie a tie.
